What is Demodex Infectiosity? What are the Differences Between Demodex Infectiosity and Incidence of Demodex?
Using a sebum quantification inspecting instrument to take sebum for localization, by quantifying the sebum, inspecting the Demodex and calculating the Demodex count, we can obtain the conventional Demodex count per person. This is the intensity of Demodex parasitity in the skin i.e. “Demodex Infectiosity.”
The Infestation Rate (incidence) is different from Demodex Infectiosity. It is qualitative, while the latter is quantitative. There is no differentiation of location, sebum quality and Demodex count in the former. As long as there is Demodex in the human skin, notwithstanding the count, it is considered positive and is known as the Infestation Rate (incidence).
Demodex infectiosity refers to the Demodex density in the skin and indicates its count and quality. Demodex infectiosity can be high or low and may be studied and analyzed. Does Demodex cause disease? Does it affect the beauty of the skin? What are its clinical disgnosis and differential diagnosis? How is the observation of effect? What is the data for Demodex scientific proof? |
